We source, supply and install exterior doors as one project — pre-hung units where the frame has gone, slabs where the frame is sound.
Pre-hung or slab
A pre-hung door arrives already mounted in its own frame, with the hinges mortised and the jamb square from the factory. It is the right answer when the existing frame has rotted, twisted, or was never square to begin with. It costs more and it is the more disruptive install, but it resets the opening completely.
A slab is the door on its own, hung into the frame you already have. Cheaper, faster, and entirely correct when the frame is sound. We will tell you honestly which one your opening needs after we measure it.
Sealed for an Alberta winter
Weatherproofing an exterior door is not one step, it is four: the sill pan and threshold, the weatherstripping around the jamb, the sweep at the bottom, and the insulation and vapour seal behind the trim. Miss any one and you get the draft, the frost line on the inside of the frame, or the puddle on the floor during a February thaw.
We do all four every time. It is slower. It is also the difference between a door that performs for two decades and one you are calling someone about next November.
Sourced to what you want
Steel, fibreglass or wood; glazed, half-glazed or solid; painted or stained. We source common names including Masonite, JELD-WEN and equivalents, and we will price more than one option so you can see the trade-off rather than being handed a single number.
Hardware is specified at the same time — handleset, deadbolt, finish, and keyed alike with your other doors if you want it.
